Australian Catholic University documentary

Last weekend, whilst all the designers were at Semi-Permanent (or maybe the art markets); and all the comic creators were at Supanova; and all the kids were at this year’s Youth Week festivals; and all the zinesters were probably at the Wollongong Zine Fair; I was interviewed by a group of design students from ACU for a short documentary about the Australian comics scene.

The interview was shot right in front of my storefront design for Incu Clothing. It was great to see passers-by stop to see what was going on and hear a little about comics, and even better to see a new generation of creatives keen on comics – although being asked what would be the quintessential Australian superhero (or the need for one) threw me quite a bit! The team raised some refreshing questions in the spiralling interview, covering everything from Spider Jerusalem to New Kelly and the potential of comics in Australia.
