Semi-Permanent 2009

‘Hide’, a piece from the Midnight Morning illustration book, was selected for inclusion in this year’s Semi-Permanent Book.

Semi-Permanent is an annual design event featuring two days of conferences, exhibitions, parties and side-events. This year’s lineup was curious, I woudl’ve been curious to see street artist superstar Ron English and artist Ian Francis speak in particular.

    Hey man rad work!
glad to see you got in the book.

I actually had a question for you.. was wondering, while you were looking through it if you happen to come across an image of a big squid with a broken ship.. titled “10,000 leagues”.

I never got notice from SP if my work was going to be published or not after submitting hi-res images..

just wanted to see if I made it through.

    thanks

Hey Joel, I just had a quick flick through and yes! You’re in the book, it’s a red-black and white pic right? Nice work. I noticed that the book went up for sale through the website now http://designiskinky.bigcartel.com/product/semi-permanent-2009

Hey dude thanks for responding! really appreciate it! That’s the one and thanks for the comments! It’s weird because you don’t ever hear back from them about the release date or if you have to purchase your own book!

Hey Joel, that’s alright. I think you have to buy your own copy though because there’s hundreds of contributors. People who attended the conference received a free copy in their grab bag too, so you might be able to see it if you know anyone who would’ve been to one of the shows too.

Matt, you’re too kind. I guess that’s what you get for having good search results on google>semi permanent. :)
I haven’t heard back from anyone about hookin a brother up with a book.

Hey there! really nice work mate!
Am i by any chance in the book?
Can you look up for the artwork called Nostalgia, by Kosmas Apatangelos
    / kommigraphics?
The artwork is an collage illustration by different pictures , with a gray background and a blue big liquid splash floating in the air surrounded by elements like a shark, speakers, a horse, etc.

please let me know, so that i can order the book.
i Have been contacted to submit my work as the artwork has been selected, but i need to be sure!

    thanx mate!
