Risographica! – pt. 2 – Matador

Risographica!
Opening Night Thur 4 Feb, 6-9 pm
Lamington Drive, 89 George St, Fitzroy, Vic 3065

A smorgasbord of 2-colour Risograph prints from your favourite Jacky Winter artists!

The Risograph is an odd and unique form of printing. It combines various printing technologies such as mimeograph, photocopying, screen printing and offset lithography to produce a signature-style, similar to that of a silkscreen, but with more ‘character’. This Japanese technology uses environmentally friendly soy based inks and for these prints we are also using a carbon neutral, 100% recycled, archival paper.
All works will be in limited editions of 10 for sale at 50.00 each, with a percentage of each sale being donated to Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders) for the Haiti crisis.

    Hey Matt!
This looks beautiful, I love the match of the matador in clean red with the brush stroke of the bull. It’s got such great movement and stylistic impact!

Also love the idea of risograph! never heard of it before, though when you describe it it makes perfect sense. Where are you doing your printing? And how big are the images?

Alas I will be overseas (always seem to be for your shows) but good luck and I hope you sell a lot for Haiti.

    Cheers,
    jess
