State of Design

As mentioned in the last entry, the Creative Industries Innovation Centre kindly included me in their event, ‘The Timely (Design) Doctor‘ for Vic’s State of Design Festival this past week. The above is an animation commissioned for the event, hand-drawn frame by frame! Here are also some photos from the event where you can see me scratching away into one of the fancy new Wacom Cintiq screens in response to the verbal diagnosis onstage from Marcus Westbury, Hael Kobayashi, Andrew Coates, Matt Eastwood and Judith Bennett.

I stayed back in Melbourne for a little bit this time and was very surprised by the warm embrace from new and old friends alike. Thanks to all who generously devoted a bit of time and presence over past odd week, you didn’t make it easy to say goodbye!
